Membership Application
The Hoosier Llama Alpaca
Association has been in existence since
1992. The association was organized to
offer education in health care, fiber, and
training through workshops, clinics and
supportive help from our members. We
strive to have an active youth support group
that offers youth events, 4-H lama groups, and
scholarships for high school graduates.
Our memberships not
only includes llama and alpacas owners from
Indiana, but also from surrounding
states. Our newsletter, The Hummer,
is sent out quarterly to keep members informed
of events, healthcare, and farm management as
well as offering an easy and inexpensive way
to promote our farms and breeding
programs. Our goals are to offer events
that we can all enjoy and benefit from as well
as have fun with our animals.
An annual membership
meeting is held in the spring - usually in
conjunction with an educational and social
event. An HLAA membership also entitles
the members accessibility of our Lending
Library - a variety of books and videos
relating to all aspects of llamas and
alpacas.
New in 2010, HLAA members will be eligible for
the free HLAA Members Mystery classes, an adult event
a youth
event to be held at every Indiana show.
There is no entry fee and cash prizes will be
awarded at each show. See more about the
HLAA Members Mystery Classes here.
Another new
benefit of an HLAA membership is the
eligibility to participate in the HLAA/MLA
Sweepstakes Award Program for animals, youth,
and 4-H youth. See details about this
exciting opportunity here.
We invite you to take
a membership in the HLAA and join us in fun
and fellowship.
